My Patch Tuesday isn't just for Microsoft and Adobe, I spend a few hours while their updates are running to review, reset, format, wipe, test remote wipe, cancel, delete, locate, scan, and scan again. That's what I do while I'm applying those security updates. I'm wiping out phones, tablets and testing backup and recovery processes. You never know when the next Zombie Attack might take place.... joking.

I used to say, "I don't like Monday's" but now I say, "I like Monday's better than the second Tuesday of every month!"

I want to bring some light into the room about this "Patch Tuesday" that once people talked about and today it's like decades ago.

So let me remind you why you stay up late and work on the patches that are delivered to you.

1. If you don't, the really bad security issues you didn't patch will be exploited by the end of the day.

That's about it, if you feel any other information or reason is needed to do your patches feel free to tell me.

I could have gone into a long drawn out story line of why and what they do with the patch information. Sure I could say you can reverse engineer the stuff but why would I, it doesn't help you.

Let your Second Tuesdays be a bad Monday and an even worst Monday for all those outside of your network control.

By the way, this includes your Email servers, Firewalls, Routers, Tablets and Smartphones, System Board (BIOS), etc.

And you thought having a device with a CPU was going to make your life easier. Welcome to the digital world... !!!
